Dr Marioli Androniki graduated from Università degli Studi di Pavia in Italy in 2003. Her thesis was in the “Genetic approach to ischemic heart disease: from genome to proteome”
She was trained in Internal Medicine at the Sismanogleion hospital in Athens.
She completed her Ph.D. thesis on Immunology of Sepsis at Athens School of Medicine, National & Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) in 2015.
She works as Research fellow at Athens School of Medicine, National & Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) Sotiria Oncology Unit and has been Consultant of the 3rd Department of Medicine, Athens School of Medicine, at the “Sotiria” General Hospitalfrom 2013. She has been a supervisor at the Postgraduate Program of Study leading to a master’s degree: Thoracic Oncology: Current Clinical & Laboratory Approach and research.
Since 2015 she also works as a consultant at the oncology unit at Athens Medical Center.
Her main fields of interest are clinical research, sepsis, immuno- oncology, pallative care, geriatric oncology, end of life and the psychosocial needs of cancer patients and their caregivers.
She is a member of the Greek Sepsis Forum, the Hellenic Society of Lung Cancer, the Hellenic Society of Neuroendocrine Tumors and has publications in foreign language medical books and journals. She also has organized and participated in several national and international conferences.
