Dr. Vasileios Ramfidis is medical oncologist Head of Oncology Department at 251 General Air Force Hospital in Athens and he is also a University Associate at Oncology Unit of 3rd Department of Medicine at Athens Medical School. He got his Master of Science in Thoracic Oncology with full scholarship in 2012 and he had a research fellowship at the Lung Cancer Department University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, PA, USA. He had clinical fellowship in lung cancer and in sarcoma at 3rd Department of Medicine, Athens Medical School. He is head of Sarcoma Unit at University Sotiria General Hospital and he experienced visiting scholarships in Centre De Leon Berard Lyon (FR 2018), Royal Marsden London (UK 2018), Dana-Farber cancer Institute in Boston (USA 2018), Instituto dei Tumori Milan (IT 2017).

He has contributed a lot of chapters in medical books and he is co-author of several international articles as well. Dr. Ramfidis participated in several international clinical trials Phase I-IV and his clinical and research interests cover a broad range of malignancies with main focus on Biology of Cancer, Targeted Therapies and drugs development.
